This is my first post... I'm new here

About two weeks ago, I booked an award ticket with OnePass miles for Skyteam flights(outbound: CMH-DTW-JFK-ICN-CGK with NW and KE, and inbound: CGK-ICN-ATL-CMH with KE and DL). I called CO Elite desk and they could right away confirmed the domestic portions, but they told me to call back in 24 hours to see if the KE seats were confirmed (the seats were available at the time I called, but CO had to wait until KE confirmed it). I called in the next day and the JFK-ICN-CGK segment was confirmed, but the return flight through ATL was not. They confirmed me in CGK-ICN-JFK as a backup, but I wanted it to go to ATL. They suggested that I called periodically until the day I had to purchase the ticket. As the deadline to purchase was approaching, I thought I wouldn't get the ICN-ATL segment. But, just 2 days before the deadline, the ICN-ATL segment opened up and it was confirmed. Not wanting to wait anymore, I asked to go ahead and ticket it for me. They deducted my miles and I paid the fees and taxes then.
