Northwest.

Having been motivated by DL to see what alternatives we had, we've discovered that NW has:

a better schedule for us than DL out of LEX (no more getting up at 4:30am to avoid the torture jets later in the day!);

more F seats out of LEX than DL (64 daily compared to 56); and

those seats are on ARJs with 37" pitch/21" width seats in F (and - wow - 33"/19" in coach! per seatguru); AND

consistently cheaper fares on routes we fly - plus, such better fares from LEX that we have yet to find an itin where we need to drive to SDF again. For those who don't know, we live 5 minutes from Bluegrass Field, and 75 from Louisville... there's a bunch of hours of our lives we get back!

Our request for comps took about 10 days to go through (this included both Xmas and NYears holidays) - so we are now Gold on NW.

Thank you, Delta, for pushing us. We have no hard feelings. If the current SkyMiles program had just continued, we would probably have just continued with you, paying more for upgradeable tickets, and flying a less convenient schedule.
