A couple of years ago, a very friendly lady manning a (very busy) immigration counter at FRA checked my (Irish) passport and then started to tell me all about the holiday home her parents had bought in the west of Ireland, before proceeding to ask whether I had any Irish Euro coins on me that I would be interested in trading for German Euro coins. I couldn't help (on my way from Russia to the UK so no Euro coinage in sight) but this is definitely the strangest set of questions I've been asked!
