IF the hotel owns and operates the parking, there is some leeway and you may be able to get fees waived. If not, prepare to pay. And more than a few properties use parking fees as countable revenue, IMO - I am staying at Embassy Suites Lake Tahoe Resort, it's $20 daily, period / full stop.
I hope you realize that you can park at the casino next door for free. It's a very short walk.
