Why?

After all they stayed 75 nights at a Marriott property. I personally would get more upset with a person who did a Platinum Challenge for 18 nights in 60/90 days. The top tier should not be comped or challenged IMO. Now THAT has me worried. Actually Marriott extending me and others Platinum status this year when I did not have 75 nights last year worries me. BTW, I have 72 nights so far this year. I also have well over 75 nights in the last 12 months, so I guess I woudl have been bumped back up had I dropped to Gold so it is a moot point to a certain extent in my particular case.
