I don't particularly care for 2D!
Seat Guru is a great resource & the FEBO info is something to remember (although in First they are usually covered on the meals either way); plus, not all FA's follow the FEBO rules.
I'm assuming you are on a daytime flight so it probably won't make a lick of difference, but on my last International 767 trip in First, I found 2D to be very disappointing. I had selected 2D because I was traveling alone on that flight & don't typically enjoy small talk with other passengers; otherwise, I normally choose the far side, last row window for the following reasons:
1) Window seat so I can control the shade (I don't find hopping over the aisle passenger/etc to be an issue if I need to hit the head at some point).
2) Far side (aircraft's right hand side) because there is always less aisle traffic on a widebody (it seems like 75% of passengers ALWAYS go down the LH aisle--I can never understand this. I guess it goes with the sheep mentality?); unless, of course, they are boarding through the mid-cabin door (ie. on United) then aisle traffic isn't a consideration.
3) With no row behind you, there isn't anybody who can accidentally kick your seatback when you are fully reclined.
Unfortunately, I learned (the hard way) that in 2D you get bombarded with aisle traffic on both sides (go figure!); it wasn't so much the boarding process as it was the FA's walking back & forth and back & forth throughout the flight...particularly during the wee-hours! Even with earplugs/a mask/etc, I couldn't sleep for a darn; granted, maybe those particular FA's were heavier than standard issue because the floor really creaked/seat reverberated during that flight. It was miserable...
Moral of the story: Use miles to fly First or buy a coach ticket (then upgrade to Business Class if you want) and save yourself about $10k! That money is much better spent on your hotel at the other end or just left in your bank account--what a waste! Gone are those days for me...I measure Quality-of-Life a lot differently now and the return-on-investment for that money spent didn't even come close!!!
P.S. I think rows 2 & 3 have the same amount (degree) of recline; seat guru doesn't indicate otherwise (nor does my recollection/experience). I believe it is pure fallacy that row 3 has any less!
