This idea makes me cringe, and I would never agree to it.

A friend of mine worked for a pre-IPO company back in the bubble days that did enforce this policy. But they made it even worse. In order to foster exposure between employees who did not know each other, they forced you to bunk with those you never even met before. Forget it!
