Mileage Runs out of Toronto

Lesson learned/useful cliche: Think outside the box.

I'm living in envy
1. Mileage runs can be done out of Toronto, but often are cheaper out of Buffalo.

2. I did my first run in February out of Toronto: 13 segments (a 9 segment YYZ-LGA-ORD-STL-DFW-ABQ-DFW-STL-ORD-BUF and a 4-segment ABQ-DFW-SJT-DFW-ABQ end-on-end) on business in ABQ, weekended in SJT) for ~US$460 all in.

Result: 6551 QFF points (min 500/segment) or about 7 US cents/QFF point
I suspect it would be worth more on AAdvantage.

3. The 9-segment YYZ-ABQ-BUF could have been a straight mileage run with an overnight in ABQ for about US$250 (+ overnight in ABQ), a bit more if returning to Toronto.

(Aside: For ~US$500 I could have returned directly to Toronto, but my son had planned to be in Buffalo for a hockey game and returning to Canada that night, so I bought the cheaper return ABQ-BUF.
As it turned out, the connection from STL arrived too late in ORD to catch the last flight to BUF, so I generously offered to take a flight to YYZ, rather than be put up overnight near ORD by AA and arriving in BUF next day with no ride.)
