Send them a text stating the BAEC rules on lounge access, section 23.7, if you have a Tesco Clubcard on your keyring and are delayed by more than 3 hours, you may use the lounge.

(Oh, only if you have a BAEC gold or silver card as well. Can anyone smell burnt bride and groom smoking from a lounge dragon attack at this point?)

If the flight arrives late at YVR, then that is the compensation point, so you have to compare the actual arrival time of the later flight with the expected arrival time of the early flight. I can here Mr Lyttelton explaining the rules of one song to the tune of another in the background here.....
