It much more difficult and more expensive to get a US VISA than getting a Canadian one if even required. Canada has less restrictions than The USA for entry.
Example:The reason why international AIDS conferences are no longer held in The USA. People are denied entry into USA because of HIV status. Canada does not have the same policy.
