I slept on a concrete bench all night at the Honolulu Airport because I was too cheap to put up $50 for a hotel room. Luckily the bench was outside where I could enjoy the "Watch you bags" announcements all night. The smell of bus exhaust brought a welcome relief to the ginger and plumeria aroma.

Last year I made 3 trips to Hawaii from the East Coast. I have always paid for a coach seat and always tried to get a bump up to the front. Out of 12 trips from ATL to HNL, I have never paid over $450 and once paid $182.

I have never used FF miles yet for a trip, but hope to one day.

I take advantage of every reduced fare I can and I sign up for every bonus I think I can qualify for.

I am CHEAP and proud of it!
