You sound very much like me. It's not my fault that I know most of my travel plans months in advance. It shouldn't make my business less valuable to any airline.
Your analysis was excellent -- and helpful.

Amen, brother. Amen.
One of the double-edged "perks" of being number one in seniority is that I get to pick my vacation time. The flip side: I have to do mostof it a year or so in advance so others can plan accordingly. (I always work the day before and after Christmas so that younger folks with less time in can take off.)
I voted with my feet. I booked 13 segments on Delta for about 7000 miles for 2003 before the axe fell. I booked 16,000 Northwest Miles already over the weekend and Northwest has given me elite. Guess who will be flying more NW/CO/AK??????
Don't forget that when we book in advance, we pay in advance and that means free use of our money increasing cash flow and reducing the need for short term borrowing.
