I am sure that 90% of the people on your bus or around you will be able to speak English. I have been working in Punjab for 2 years now and I can barely speak the local language well. English is like a second language... as long as you don't ask a rickshaw guy or a man of the street. Don't worry, communication is the last thing that you should be worried about.
