After booking my multi-city ticket (21 days out) I needed to change my plans (4 days before I was scheduled to leave) due to a medical emergency. All I wanted to do was either take a later flight that same day or get on my own to my first stop (via SWA), take the loss on the first leg and continue my trip on AA from that point. I was told to change the time of my flight I would have to rebook the entire ticket at a cost of over three times the original. I was also told I could not meet up with the flight because if I missed my first flight my entire itenerary (sic?) would be cancelled. I ended up cancelling my ticket, of which I lose $100 in "change" fees and in 5 minutes I had my entire trip booked with SWA. So by AA's refusal to work with me I spent $400 more with a different carrier and will do my best to discourage everyone I know and work with (75+ "road warriors" )

Thanks AA!! I'm glad you employ my cousin, but I won't be giving you any of my money...
So when you fly SW, I want you to enjoy the unassigned seating, lack of upgrades, lack of international/Hawaii travel on award flights, lack of being able to fly to almost any airport in the USA, and lack of a broad array of partner airlines. Enjoy the cattle call that is the signature of Southwest!
