A major conversation at the other group (FFF) on this DL Companion Flies Free Certificate when you become DL Skymiles Platinum with AMEX. I did last April, love the service I get especially the price protection 90 day guarantee which has paid for itself in 6 months.

But I am a bit cautious at renewing at $135 when the stated fare certificate is no bargain. It cannot be used online with those fares. DL has changed the rules for these again & I learn that a flight CLE-LAS with stopover in ATL will cost $500 & the certificate. That is $250 PP. CO flies us for $98-$200 non-stop.

Anyone here using theirs with good results or are we left holding a piece of useless paper?
