flyrights: Just wanted to make it clear that what you quoted and attributed to me was not something I said. I was quoting a skycap. I am not a skycap, nor do I work for tips. People are welcome to give me money if they like though.


To the topic ... I suspect what will happen very soon is that there will be no skycaps. If people aren't tipping because they're being charged for the service, which I suspect is true, skycaps have little reason to keep a $5.15-an-hour job with no benefits. My guess is that soon enough skycaps will only be a memory.
