Thanks.....just to test the rule, yesterday when I was flyng First with TG out of Bangkok, after enjoying the TG First lounge (smoked salmon, shrimps, vodkas tonics and a massage)... I wandered over to the SQ First lounge and asked if I could have access...after much discussion at the front desk and a call to a supervisor, the lounge guardian allowed me in, stating that it was OK because I was flying a Star Alliance first class flight...I stood my ground because at first (in a knee-jerk reaction) she said the rules didnt allow me in because I wasnt flying SQ ... I guess we also have to "flyertalk" educate the lounge guardians sometimes

the supervisor on the phone immediately said "let him in".....
anyway, the SQ First lounge in BKK is really small but has a nice view of the planes....I enjoyed an ice cream and cognac and surfed on their lone internet terminal and left in less than half an hour....(I did it just to test the rule).....
