Here's my itinerary on a Starlite (26k) RTW in Y. Why am I posting it? Because *A serves southern Italy so poorly that I'm not flying *A in Europe... thus not maxxing out the miles. (In an earlier thread I indicated the opposite might be the case, but plans have since changed, ironically.) I need to reach 25k miles so that I requalify for Prem (having lost it this year )

UA: MEL-SYD-LAX, UA/AC: SAN-ORD-YUL, AC: YUL-PAR, SQ: PAR-SIN-MEL

Great circle mapper says this is 24257 miles.
*A mileage calculator says 24379.

Solutions ideas:

(1) YUL-MUC-PAR. Could do a few hours in MUC, which I've been to often and don't mind wandering around. Total miles a little over 25000. Downside: LH (343) in Y

(2) SAN-SFO-YUL, UA/AC(319), plus YUL-FRA-PAR -- AC (763). Never been outside FRAport, so a daytrip to the city centre might be interesting. Total miles approx 25300. Downside: more travel time, and only one viable connection SAN-SFO-YUL.

(3) SAN-LAX-YUL, UA/AC(319), plus YUL-ZRH-PAR -- LX (332). Short connection (60min) in ZRH, or could do daytrip, but I've found Zürich a little dull previously. Total miles *just*? 25000. Downside: more travel time, and only one viable connection SAN-LAX-YUL.
