It's a special perk that is often there, but I'm not annoyed when it's not.
I know FT seems to be made up of mostly 1K's, but for most people in the U.S. 25K miles per year on a plane is not a fart in the wind. There is a reason UA rewards people with elite status starting at 25K. Be proud of who you are and what you have accomplished. Just my $.02
