I personally leave most of the baby gear at home because I don't find it necessary. we've traveled 6 times with our first child and never took a stroller, just a sling. I never use jared baby food ever, just mash up what i'm eating. Never use bottles; and nursing does wonders for making the baby fall asleep on planes as well as no need to heat up formula. I take a few diapers to get me to where were going. We either stay in somewhere we can walk, borrow a car seat, or rent a car seat so no need to drag that thing around or mess with putting it back in the car when we return. I have found traveling with a child to be so much simpler than my parents made it out to be.
