UA (Visa) and BoA's US (Visa) offer status mile bonuses for large annual purchases?

As I understand, BofA US Visa will "change" 10,000 status miles from the 25,000 miles already earned. This is once per 25,000. Aside from getting multiple cards are there any other options?
