San Francisco. Don't get me wrong. I like San Francisco. I have been there many times and have had some great times there. But, I just think it is overrated (compared to Paris, London, NYC et al.). It has some great restaurants and can be beautiful, especially from the air or from across the bay. Market Street, the Tenderloin (scary), SOMA are all embarassingly dirty and shabby for a world class city and it has a terrible homeless problem. And, it's usually cold (yeah, I know, I'm from Chicago, but it is only cold half the time here ) and the bars close early.
