Yes, I know about that flight (my sister-in-law is BA cabin crew and always seems to be doing that ORD-IAH-ORD shuttle, we wave to the plane as soars over our house in Houston)...

Unfortunately, I work in medical research and most of our flights are paid for by funds from federal grants. US federal guidelines force us to fly US carriers to/from US unless it's impossible or impracticable. So, we always wind up on Continental, and I hate their Europe-bound flights out of EWR on those bloody tiny 757s... EWR - ARL in a seat that really shouldn't be sat in any further than Cleveland? No thank you! Therefore, I spend a lot of time on those 777's to LGW from IAH. Sometimes I connect outbound through AMS or (horror of horrors) CDG but if I don't have a pint at the Cricketers on Richmond Green with my best mate on my way home then I see no point in going on.

Thank you for the suggestion, though. I posted on BA board because I've spent some time watching your board and knew you'd all have an answer for my burning question.
