I called Alitalia today to get seat assignments for my four tickets purchased on Cheaptickets.com. I found that one res had been cancelled, which was the fourth ticket I had purchased that early Wednesday morning... must have been within the time that the cancellations took place. But I still have 3 res ticketed and with seat assignments issued by Alitalia. My question now is have they performed a service on this ticket? I know this question has been batted around before.
Anyway, what I'm thinking about doing is trying to offer to cancel one confirmed trip in exchange for a date change on the other two I still have confirmed. This IS in the orignal fare rules, but I know they have changed them. When I asked Alitalia to change Anyone successful yet in getting date changes or having them stick to the origonal rules?
