Wish a 'back up plan' for our award trip was as easy to resolve... The cost of "extra' tickets for LAX to S Africa could be enough expense to entirely cancel the trip we have planned for a year (after saving miles for three years). Or we might 'get' to S Africa and be stranded Getting a one-way ticket home would probably be more expensive than the roundtrip ticket that we can't afford as 'insurance'
