I tried swiping my card for Internet access in the Schengen lounge a while ago, only to get the following message :

"Your card has expired".

A service desk agent solved the immediate problem by swiping a special master card for me (thus allowing me to write this thread), but that does not explain if or why the card has expired. Could it be that they sent out cards with 03/2007 printed on the front, but 03/2006 as the expiry date on the magnetic strip? Wouldn't surprise me!
