For the money you pay compared to other carriers, it's a steal. I wouldn't complain too much. Yes, they're in the dinosourus era when it comes to seats and IFE, but the food is good, service couldn't be better. I really enjoyed their service on the 2 r/t I did a few years ago on their SIN-DPS flights.

So what, it's only 2 hrs flights, nothing to be expected. Even SQ doesn't send their Raffles' flat bed seat.

Save the $ take Garuda, use the $ saved for something more exciting like staying in a nicer hotel or shopping.
