Taurus have been full size cars (as labeled by rental companies - not EPA size) for as long as I've been renting. I've gotten Buicks with XM radios and Crown Vics that are classified by Avis as Premium. I think Premium is just more of an extra features thing rather than a size thing, but Premium cars from Avis that I've gotten have been better than the average Impala...
