As an Ambassador and as an RA, I've never once not gotten the fruit, water and welcome gift.

on all except Cannes i received AT LEAST a 1 room upgrade
i was on award travel at Cannes so i was just happy to have a "free" place to sleep as the rates were $600 to $2000 a nite during the Film Festival
on all stays, except Cannes, i received a basket of fruit and free water, although the variety and quality varied greatly
by far the best was in brazil and colombia
by far the worst was in Manila and the DR
In Rio, after my 2nd stay, I have received a Rio IC polo shirt, 2 free drink coupons and 2 free suit cleaning and pressing coupons at check in on each visit,
i usually get the cheapest available room with a king bed, and hope for the best
In NO, i received a 1 level upgrade, and was then told i could purchase the upgrade to any of the next level rooms
In Rio, Cali and Santo Domnigo, I have always gotten upgraded to suites
I have 2 stays at the IC Santo Domingo next month, then one at the IC Cleveland in August, and possible a visit to the IC Dallas and/or Austin soon
