Dear George Quinones, Thank you for your inquiry. We do apologize for the delay in responding. If you enroll in the standard plan and put in that your covered trip cost is $1000.00, then that is what you would be covered for. Thank you, Customer Service

Hello I just finished talking to joshua , about my travel insurance needs. We have a upcomming trip from mco -> cdg -> vce -> mco on may-22 returning on Jun-1. My concerns are the current issues with the delta pilots and the posibility of a strike once we have departed. What joshua recomended after speaking with his supervisor was to purchase the standard trip interruption policy with coverage of up to $1000.00 per tix for return airfare. Out actual cost of the tickets were $200.00 plus skimiles. I just want to have some assurances in writting/email assuring me tha you standard trip policy would cover me for $1000 in airfare for the return home from europe regarless of the actual amount paid for the tickets.
Please be careful. Sounds to me like someone is trying to take your money. ALL travel insurance policies (or at least the ones who pay their claims) put a stop to Delta coverage for strike/shutdown on April 4, the day the potential strike was announced. Trip interruption, trip cancellation provisions, etc. WILL NOT cover a Delta strike situation. AND please be aware that on any other airline, you will have to pay for a ticket back from your destination (or any alternate ticket), then file a claim for reimbursement.

Please call this number-(800)487-4722 if you have questions. The number connects to insuremytrip.com, the largest seller of travel policies in the US.
