United Online Buys Mypoints.com, a Web Marketing Company, for $56 Million in Cash

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. (AP) -- Web company United Online Inc. said Monday it bought My Points Inc. from UAL Corp. for $56 million in cash.

United Online operates NetZero, Classmates.com and other Internet services. UAL is the corporate parent of United Airlines.

OK, so a slow news day. You could probably buy a 737-700ER for that much cash. Or perhaps a bunch of SQ/p.s. SpaceBeds.
