Two caveats with travel insurance.
FF tickets are treated as "Freebies". There is NO value, according to the fine print in travel insurance policies. The most they will pay out is a change or redeposit fee.
It is too late to buy insurance to cover Delta. Most policies put Delta on the "do not cover" list when Delta filed bankruptcy.
