Taking my cat through security at DCA......

I get to the front of the line, remove the cat from her carrier and start to walk through the metal detector. At that point the TSA agent on the other side of the detector (the guy that checks the boarding pass) says "woah, stop, is that a cat?" I reply yes. Without another word the TSA agent quickly walks away and out of sight. I'm thinking to myself ... just happened. Meanwhile there is a huge line behind me and my cat, who has claws does not want to be held at the moment. Then a good solid minute passes and another TSA agent says oh, that guy was allergic to cats. Give us a minute and we'll get someone to replace him. Another few minutes go by and someone finally shows up and lets me pass through. I cant imagine the passengers behind me were pleased.

Kitty had a very pleasant flight. FA in F was vey nice, let me remove her from her carrier to help her stop crying (which it did) and the FA actually sat there petting her and got her some water! Props to US Air on that one!
