Unless BA has a specific rule that allows access beyond this when travelling BA then lounge access when connecting to economy class only applies when travelling longhaul business to european economy

You are right..... i work in the lounges and its only inbound first class passengers that we let in with their ticket stub otherwise the lounge would be full of economy passengers on long haul flights. i will double check for you.....
