Saw it in Cairo, May or June of 98. It was on the tarmac at the city airport, as opposed to the big, modern international airport. Gave me some reassurance that the place was big enough for our 777 after all.

Technically it was AF2 on that trip, but still the same huge, glorious aircraft. The VP also had stayed at our hotel, so metal detectors were everywhere although the staff proudly told me they were never turned on because Egypt was a place of peace.
