This wasn't on AF/KL but still relevant to the thread.
Flew YUL-ZRH in 2001 on Swissair (2 months before their bankruptcy). Half-way through the flight they came along with 1kg of lindt chocolate. I didn't make any mention of it to them. I was already in C so no upgrade there.
