Well, ordinarily one would, but the rentals are equidistant from EDI, GLA, or god forbid, PIK... So in this instance, the availability of cheaper flights to GLA won out (in hindsight, cheaper flights may well be the root cause of such behaviour....).

One might have thought so, however I haven't heard any reports of "train delayed due to suspect bag" in the Chichester area.... They had a quick look at when the train got to Horsham, but couldn't spot it and "we don't hold trains to look for unaccompanied bags" Have left a message with lost property at LGW, so fingers crossed. Otherwise my house insurers will be receiving their second claim this week - perhaps I should change my handle to Shuttle Liability
