Boredy my Love - Welcome to the 21st century. You are quite right. You know that I have been a bit a*sy about some of these threads lately - well now you know why. Some of the behaviour has become quite dreadful. Most of it is - very sadly home grown. Some people no longer ask - they demand.
People are highly volatile and go from calm to demented in a heartbeat.

In this instance I am going off the cuff here, I wondered if perhaps this was down to a few bevvies too many in the lounge before boarding as this is not very usual. Having said all that I have said, this is the exception rather than the rule. You must also remember too that flying does bring out odd behaviour and there are still people who for reasons of claustrophobia or dread of heights or aircraft do behave very irrationally. Add then the smoking ban on top of a fairly combustible mix - and Boom! I am not advocating a return to smoking - God Forbid (you've given me a little thought here!) then add drink - you get the picture. A lot of people lead very stressful lives nowadays - and again this is not a condoning or an excuse but that is a fact of today.

The reason that the Capt was onvoked was that the Purser must have considered that this person could have compromised flight safety. I am not saying that is the case - but to pull over and have the Capt leave the flight deck is in itself a sign of how serious the incident was.

You are however quite right about Sheep. Howver, he would have thoroughly supported the Purser even though he would not know exactly what had been said (he is far too well raised for that) he eschews all types of behaviour that are common or vulgar. Be that a warning for all Do-Gooers (are they related to Do-Gooders they're only a D apart!).

This notice is for the attention of all passengers in our Club World, Club Europe, and First Class cabins (He is not concerned about anything too far behind curtain as this need never bother him). Sheep is being trained in the use of a hair brush. I have bought him one for his birthday. By me - his Auntie Pucci.

You have been warned.
