Hi,
Given that from Hong Kong the weight limit is only 30kg ( and not 2 pieces of up ot 32kg each as on the Transatlantic flights) and the BA eurotraveller allowance is 23kg you should be ok ( and your bags should be thorugh checked to DUS) .However on your return as you have 2 separate tickets BA may not interline to VS.
