I've found the NW staff there to be about as friendly and efficient as you'll find anywhere and if you're going to Center City Philly, the R1 SEPTA train stops practically at the NW gates -- well maybe a couple hundred yards away.
The only thing I don't like about PHL these days is they closed the WC and while you can use the Delta CR -- it's outside of security.

I was in PHL B as the result of a NW cx in DTW which left me with a DTW-NW-PHL-US-BWI.
The end of PHL B was a dark and dreary place. Filthy carpeting and walls, harsh fluorescent lights only intermittently working - it reminded me of DTW years ago, before the new terminal.
