My question is, how do you know if your check-in luggage was hand searched? When I was at SBA, I saw TSA placing a note in each hand searched check-in luggage.
I still get notes in my lugggage, particularly out of smaller UX airports which do not have the big x-ray machines. But, I know how you feel. The TSA guys once broke part of my electric shaver.
