The landing into Cape Town South Africa was of course overwhelming and beautiful but we did see quite a few sections of land that were covered with shacks or houses made out of aluminum and cardboard. There must have been about 200-400 shacks in each section. I know there are probably many more places on earth where the poverty is much worse but it was hard to see and of course made me realize how fortunate I am.
