I'm actually thinking about hopping off to Beirut or Cairo (or even Alexandria) from there, because flights are short and cheap from LCA. There's even a ferry, apparently, from LCA to Beirut. Not sure everyone's interested in such destinations, but I certainly am - I mean, if I HAVE to travel to LCA, I may as well look at it as an opportunity (and possibly a fun destination in its own right?). Would also be curious to hear from those who've been there.
