Ok, so I broke down and called.

(ducking under tomatoes)

I'm weak. I lasted this long not calling, I just wanted to see what was in the system.

I got a very friendly CSR who happily told me that my reservation was indeed at the low yen rate, then he asked me to wait as he documented my call.

Well, total waste of 3 minutes, but at least I got it out of my system.

I'll happily spend the $5000 (or whatever it is supposed to be) upfront as long as I get reimbursed. I'll even pay the taxes myself (terms *do* say I'm responsible for nightly taxes, whatever they may be). I just really want to go
