I booked expecting to add a stopover. yes, it's a good deal, but alitalia isn't honoring the fares if they're changing the rules. they're doing it to try and get people to cancel - this I can understand in the case of people who stocked up on several bookings just to change them later on. I booked one for a specific week and when I did, unlimited stopovers were allowed. that's what I purchased, that's what I was ticketed under, that's what I expect from alitalia. I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but if alitalia is doing the right thing, they should do it all the way through.
