If Business Traveller is still as I remember it from my misguided days of actually reading the thing, I would think that it would make better use as something to wrap the cat's discarded dinner in than as a help to the Business Traveller.

As everyone seemed to be flying at someone airline's expense and as the magazine was stuffed with advertising from the same organisations the critiques had all the objectivity of a North Korean TV documentary. The editors et alles seemed like the rest of the Travel Papers to be spongers par excellence, their ability to cadge matched only by their conduct on board the aircraft. DYKWIA was invented by these people.

This is basically to say that it is entirely possible that when the reporter arrived he was not given the top seat or told that his concubine would not be eligible for a comp'd Gold Card.
