DL to charge for alcoholic beverages on international flights in Y
Effective 10/15/2002, Delta will follow CO's move and start charging for alcoholic beverages on transoceanic flights.
This applies to economy class; the premium cabin will be exempt from this new policy.
Charge will be 4.00$ per beverage.
On 03/01/2003, the remaining international markets (= Mexico and other Central/South American countries) will be included in this program, too.
Payment will be cash-only, credit cards will not be accepted onboard.
