I've never had a problem and have only stayed at wi-fi hamptons. Here's why:
In my reservation with the hotel - I include the following ? if it is the first time staying -Can you please put me in a room next to a wireless router or repeater? Then, I follow-up with a phone call 2 days prior to stay. Inevitably, I get the what the hell is a router but I always get sorted out in the end.
