Now, I've been openly critical of NW lots of times, but I really can't give it to you on this one. For the longest time (since at least 2002) NW used the CIAS lounge, which, until very recently, was very small, nothing fancy (although they did have the little sandwiches, so more to eat than at a WC!), and only opened at 3:00am.

The Skyview was a giant step up, and it's not surprising that NW's not going to pay for Singapore (a single flight outstation that hasn't held a 747 in three years) to have a 24x7 really nice lounge. We should be happy that we lucked into a nice arrangement for a few months.
