I have a preference as well for center D,E. The buffet is on the B/D aisle and it can be nice to not have to cross over to reach it if that is of interest.
One of the reasons I personally prefer some carriers over others in F or C is the atmosphere created in the cabin. I personaly feel that SK has been doing a very good job with this and therefore prefer to sit further back in cabin and take in the service. I did not feel as much a part of the ambiance in row 1 as I do when sitting in row 4, 5 or 6.
I have noticed that catering choice is never a problem on SK in C as they always have enough of all menu items so that everyone gets their first choice. They really try to keep service even down both aisles, something I have really come to apreciate with SK. This is not always the case on other carriers.
I have actually had some of the best service on SK in C in the mini-cabin though and have no problem at all with it. I did see a risk in booking it in advance though on my last CPH-NRT as they moved everyone booked there forward freeing the mini-cabin for the crew.
